The 2014 Mount Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon is a simply fascinating wine in this vintage from O’Shaughnessy. This dark, opaque colored red immediately bursts open with seductive aromatics of ripe blackberries and blueberries woven together with violets, graphite, cinnamon spices and hints of tobacco. On this palate this is rich, voluptuous and beautifully polished. It continues to impress as it displays remarkable concentration and depth, with ripe flavors of blueberries and dark fruits combining with sweet spices and graphite flavors, which cascade on the long, multidimensional finish. While extremely appealing now, this will ultimately thrive in the cellar for years to come. (Best 2018-2033) - September, 2017 (JD)
