MT. BRAVE Cabernet Sauvignon, Mt. Veeder 2012

The 2012 Mt. Brave Cabernet Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautifully crafted wine from esteemed Napa Valley winemaker Chris Carpenter. This wine is sourced from the high elevated Mt. Brave vineyard in Mt. Veeder and consists of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec. It instantly opens with complex aromas of blackcurrant and ripe blueberries, along with violets, dusty minerals, graphite and a sweet spices, which all come together and soar from the glass. This full-bodied Cabernet is dense and layered with remarkable concentration and a gorgeous plush texture that lasts through the long, polished finish. A simply delicious wine today, but should also continue to evolve for at least another decade. (Best 2017-2029) - January, 2016 (JD)
