The Godspeed Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful showing from Sbragia in 2011. This remote vineyard, planted in 1987 is the project of the Larry Stricker family and comprises a series of steep hillsides and mixed volcanically-derived soils. The wine itself delivers gorgeous aromas of black cherries and black currents are followed by licorice, sweet spices, savory herbs, floral, graphite, pencil shavings with hints of molasses beginning to emerge with air. Full-bodied and voluptuous back by around round, polished tannins that glide right into the long supple finish. This is absolutely delicious wine that can be approached now or cellared for years to come. Composed of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petite Verdot.
