The 2019 Brandlin Malbec is a combination of 94% Malbec and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon that was aged in 40% new French oak barrels for 22 months. Sporting a deep ruby and purple core with a neon purple rim in the glass, it gifts notes of dark chocolate, espresso beans, violets, bitter herbs, and boysenberry fruits. Crunchy tannins are aggressive on the palate, which will soften nicely with a few years in the bottle. Only 15 barrels produced.
