A blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Malbec makes up the 2019 Estate Cabernet from Brandlin. Resting for 22 months in 50% new French oak barrels, it delivers a shimmering dark purple core with a bright neon purple rim in the glass. Rich and decadent notes of black plum, cassis, sandalwood, tobacco leaf, crushed blackberries, baking chocolate, grated cloves, and shades of wet earth are all present on the nose and on the palate. Structured tannins play well with the elevated acidity, which leads to an earthy yet black fruit-forward finish. About 110 barrens produced.
