The 2013 Jolie-Laide Fanucchi-Wood Road Vineyard Trousseau Gris is certainly a unique and brilliant offering from winemaker Scott Schultz. It displays a slight orange hue, due to its five day whole cluster cold soak on the skins, prior to fermentation in used neutral French puncheon and barriques. This dazzles with its lovely aromas of tropical fruits, papaya, honeysuckle, white peach, tangerine, pear and pretty white flowers. It remains clean, structured and balanced, with a burst of acidity on the finish leaving your mouth watering. To simply put it, this is a remarkable wine that should not be missed.
