ANCIEN Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley ‘Joussance Vineyard’ 2018

Baked strawberry pie, toasted cinnamon stick, cranberry sauce, and a touch of pencil shavings bring lovely aromas to this RRV Pinot Noir from Ancien. Heavy, juicy, and rich on the palate, the bruised and ripe red and blue fruits are dominant with the addition of a touch of earthiness on the mid-palate. It’s a little heavy-handed but in the end, it delivers a nice Pinot Noir. Acidity checks in medium to high and tannins are silky yet present. 308 cases produced.
