Coming from the Carlisle Vineyard which was planted in 1927 and is mainly comprised of Zinfandel with a little bit of Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir de la Calmette, Tempranillo, Peloursin, with up to 30 others random and rare varieties mixed in. Limerick Lane is crafting beautiful, age-worthy, bright, fresh and structured Zinfandel that are nothing like you’ve ever tasted before. Aromas of bright wild strawberry, blueberry, lilac, tobacco leaf and white pepper are dominant. The palate is much the same with red fruits, peppery spice and a touch of oak present. Alcohol is right under 15% but the wine isn’t hot at all. It’s incredibly balanced and nuanced and should cost 2-3 times as much for a wine of this quality. Age this stunning wine for a decade or more. Only 95 cases produced.
