Planted in the 1880s, the Banfield Vineyard is truly one of the oldest vineyards in the state of California and Limerick Lane is producing the best of the best Zinfandels anywhere in the world. These wines have incredible complexity, beautiful longevity and are the Zinfandels for people who say they hate Zins. Rhubarb pie, fresh garden strawberry, fresh vanilla seed and cherry liquor explode in the glass. A powerful wine on the palate with a length that goes on for minutes with perfect acidity, solid polished tannin and an alcohol level that appears a lot lower than is stated. Flavors of ripe red fruits, dried blueberry, baking chocolate and cherry Jolly Rancher tease the palate and forms a wine that will last for a decade or more. 93 cases produced.
