A blend of Zinfandel fruit, with a touch of other random field varietals, sourced from 36% Banfield, 23% Limerick Lane, 18% Sodini, 14% Bedrock, and 9% Carlisle this wine is aged for 18 months in neutral French oak barrels. My favorite of the Limerick Lane 2018s by a small margin, this wine shows aging potential, fresh acidity and fruit, a balanced black-fruit core and yummy tannins with a lengthy finish. Blackberry cordial, boysenberry jam, sweet baking spices, tilled earth and some gorgeous minerality of crushed slate and iodine create one of the best Zinfandels I’ve ever tasted. These wines from Limerick delivery way above their price point and it’s just a matter of time before the public discovers these wines and the price skyrockets. Give this one a few years before enjoying. Only 270 cases produced.
