Coming from the historic 1910 Block surrounding the Limerick Lane Estate, this wine comprises mostly Zinfandel with a random field blend of Peloursin, Negrette, Alicante Bouchet, Syrah and Petite Sirah among others, which are all co-fermented together into this tasty Zin. Aged 17 months in neutral French oak barrels the wine gives willowy aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberry jam, nutmeg and a touch of dried fennel seed. The length is solid and the mouthfeel is full and black fruit driven. A gorgeous note of herb de provence and brown mushroom play second fiddle to black fruit core. 298 cases produced.
