The 2013 Robert Mondavi Winery 'Reserve' Cabernet Sauvignon is yet another tremendous release in a long history consistantly outstanding wines from this storied estate. This incredible wine opens with alluring aromatics of ripe black cherries, crème de cassis, black olive, graphite and hints of eucalyptus all coming together beautifully in the glass. There are wonderful, dense, concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, blackberry pie, anise, mocha, and hints of mint. Layered and intense, this wine is decadent at this juncture. A long life moving forward, this is wonderful in its youth but really should have another two years of bottle age to soften. If enjoying now, be sure to give this at least a two hour decant.
