OPUS ONE Proprietary Red, Napa Valley 2007

The 2007 Opus One is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec, which comes from an excellent growing season in Napa Valley. This exceptional red blend begins with aromas of anise, hazelnut, mocha and crème de cassis, all soaring from the glass. This leads to rich, beautifully concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, kalmata olive, Turkish coffee, black cherries and anise. Overall, this is intense and layered with wonderful opulence and a long, multidemsional finish. A highly memorable effort from Opus One. (Best 2016-2026) - January, 2015 (OB)
