FORLORN HOPE Saint-Laurent ‘Ost-Intrigen’ 2012

The 2012 Forlorn Hope ‘Ost-Intrigen’ is made from 100% St. Laurent grown in Dale Ricci’s Carneros vineyard. It is bright and racy with fresh aromas of wild berries, sour cherry, pomegranate, black pepper, black tea, spices and crushed violets, which leap form the glass. This shows wonderful structure with lively acidity beaming through the core of this wine. The finish is mouth watering gushing with juicy berries and spices. I would recommend approaching this early on, however it could evolve over the next few years as well. (Best 2014-2018) - December, 2013 (JD)
