Bloom’s Field is situated on a 7.5 acre parcel located in the western side of the Domaine, and is unprotected from the marine influences of wind and fog from the Pacific. The 2013 Bloom’s Field Pinot Noir is an absolutely stunning example of what these marine effects contribute, as it delivers intoxicating aromatics, of fresh cherries, wild strawberries, pomegranate, crushed violets, exotic spices and a touch of black tea leaf. This shows wonderful overall balance and finesse, leading to a vibrant finish laced with extraordinary flavors of red currant, tart cherries, rose petal and a hint of salinity. Even at this early stage this is a completely compelling example of Pinot Noir that should not be missed. (Best 2016-2027) - June, 2015 (MD)
