Simply outstanding in 2017, Ojai's Grenache from John Sebastiano opens to inviting aromatics of ripe dark cherries, currants, blueberry and raspberry coulis whish is underlined by damp soil, exotic spices, violets and hints of fresh mint. An elegant Grenache with gorgeous velvety tannins and beautifully textured mouthfeel which is backed by a core of ripe red berries, spices and salted dark chocolate. It continues to impress as it shows outstanding balance and concentration through the long finish. While this is delicious now it should also continue to drink marvelously over the next 5-7 years.
