The 'Clos Abella' comes from high altitude vines that are up to 100-years-old. A blend of 50% Carignan, 39% Grenacha, and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 24 Months in French Oak, this is a remarkable wine. It has has a complex aromas of cassis, red cherries, smoke, tobacco, earth, raspberries, along with roasted coffee, fresh mineral, dark chocolate, spice and spring flowers. This is full-bodied and complex with layers of pure red and black fruits with silky tannins that lead into the long, velvety finish. This is a fantastic red from Marco Abella which can last 15 to 20 years. (Best 2017-2035) - November, 2015 (MD)
