Founded in 2003, this winery focuses on high quality Mencia wines. The 'Carracedo' is the winery's most esteemed bottling, which spent 12 months in medium toast French oak. Standing at 14% alcohol, this impressive wine opens with aromas of stewed prune, red cherry, tarragon and blackberry. This leads to flavors of anise, black cherry, violets, graphite and wonderful minerality. This is delicious in its youth but will continue to develop in the bottle for years to come. This is exceptional winemaking and has similarities of a great left bank Bordeaux. (Best 2015-2035) - October, 2015 (OB)
