The 2010 Bodegas Atalaya Almansa Laya delivers loads of cherries backed by notes of spices, wet earth and licorice along with hints of espresso and cocoa powder. Full-bodied and silky, but slightly off balanced as the alcohol spikes bit on the finish. That being said this is a nice everyday wine. Composed of 70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Monastrell aged 4 months in French oak. (Drink 2012-2014) - May, 2012 (JD)
