Sourced from vines over 100 years of age, this darkly colored, late release Garnacha begins with aromas of blueberry, damp earth, smoke and wet stones. The palate shows a nice combination of weight, acidity and minerality. Chocolate, brandied dark cherry and Hoisin sauce flavors all combine nicely leading up the the finish. This is an excellent, nicely evolved effort.
