ALHEIT VINEYARDS 'Cartology' 2015

The 2015 ‘Cartology’ is a simply sensational blend of 87% Chenin Blanc from Skurfberg, Perdeberg, Bottelary, False Bay and Botrivier and 14% Semillion from the old La Colline block in Franschhoek. As the wine begins to ope it releases alluring aromas of fresh sliced apples, stone fruits, citrus zest, wet stones and traces of honeysuckle all coming together beautifully. On the palate this demonstrates a gorgeous textural richness and is remarkably well balanced with excellent focus. There is a wonderful seamless quality and a lovely touch of acidity that impresses all the way through the vivid finish. This is an incredible wine that should not be missed. (Best 2016-2025) - November, 2016 (JD)
