The 2016 'Vinha do Arco' comes from organically farmed Touriga Nacional on the steep slopes of the Douro valley. It has beautiful aromas of black currant, blueberry, dark chocolate, savory herbs, ground coffee, cassis, leather and violet. On the palate this possesses a gorgeous full body supported by fine grained tannins and a wondeful textural presence from start to finsih. This is a total knockout from winemakers Charles Symington and Pedro Correia, which is flat-out delicious today and can be cellared for a decade or more. A remarkable value.
