The 'Te Kahu' is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvigon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Inky in the glass, this shows aromatics of red cherries and blackberry prersves along with prune and coffee grounds on the nose. Displaying solid poise and balance, this flavor of red cherries, red bell pepper, spice box and black tea which all build on the palte. Ripe and showing a silky mouthfeel, the 2016 'Te Kahu' is a wonderful showing from Craggy Range.
