The ‘San Martino’ Bolgheri Superiore is incredibly different from the classic Bolgheri Rosso. This begins with fresh aromas of raspberries, blueberries, lemon and loads of chocolate that all take shape. On the palate this is medium-bodied with round and polished tannins and a powerful yet balanced finish that shows remarkable persistence, while remaining fresh from the lovely underlying acidity. Impressive now, yet should also age marvelously.
