The 2009 Schioppettino di Cialla from Ronchi di Cialla is simply fabulous. It instantly begins to dazzle as it opens to pretty aromatics of dried red berries, smoke, crushed stones, pepper and dried florals that all come together and emerge gracefully from the glass. On the palate it shows remarkable elegance and refinement, with a beautiful silky texture that frames the gorgeous seamless finish. The 2009 is in prime drinking condition and is showing absolutely fabulous today.
