The 2017 Chiaramonte Nero d'Avola is sourced from the Dàgala Borromeo Estate in the Trapani countryside where the vineyards have south/south-westerly exposure and are situated 750 feet above sea level. The result is a lovely Nero d'Avola that begins with inviting aromas of dark cherries, roasted plums, moist earth, licorice, white pepper, spices, minerals and herbs which round out the characteristics. The Medium body is wrapped in fine, silky tannins which lead into the finish that leaves behind flavors of plums and earthy notes which leave a lasting impression.
