The 2010 Casanova di Neri Rosso di Montalcino may be the best Rosso I have ever tasted from the estate. It shows nice concentration, offering inviting aromas of ripe blackberries, leather, smoke and some hints of sandalwood. Remarkable for its balance and finesse, this is an outstanding Rosso that can be approached early on or held for short-term. This wines goes to show how Giacomo Neri puts just as much attention and care into his Rosso as he does to his single vineyard Brunello wines. (Best 2013-2017) - March, 2013 (JD)
