The 2017 Coltifredi Chianti Classico opens with inviting aromas of fresh red fruits, crushed flowers, herbs, mint and tobacco that all come together beautifully. On the palate this is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins which lead to a core of ripe red berries and spices that work through the vivid finish. Fantastic now, but it should become even more appealing as it fleshes out in bottle over the next year or two.
