The 2012 ‘Il Bugiardo’ opens with alluring aromas of dark cherries and blackberries laced with chocolate shavings, spices and fresh cut floral. This is beautifully structured with a wonderful layer of underlying acidity providing freshness and keeping everything in balance. Excellent today, but I expect this to continue to evolve with another year or so in bottle. 60% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 5% Croatina and 5% Oseleta. (Best 2017-2026) - April, 2016 (JD)
