The 2009 Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Rosso is composed of 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino and 15% Merlot. This Rosso shows a refined style with aromas of bright cherries and plum followed by dried tobacco, leather, and hints of earthy minerals. The fine, silky texture is supported by a firm structure and an impressive long chewy finish. Overall, it's very solid Montefalco that should even improve with just a short stay in the cellar.
