The 2005 ‘Damis’ is a very interesting wine by Giuseppe Ippolito that will make you really appreciate the potential of Gaglioppo and winemaking in Cirò. This is a gorgeous wine, bringing aromas of fresh mixed berries, plum, roasted herbs, spices, licorice and fresh minerals. It is most impressive for it’s silky, elegant style along with a fantastic structure that ends in a long, chewy finish. The 2005 is the current release, placed on the market in 2012.
