The 2018 Scrimaglio Barbaresco opens to beautifuly atomatics, as nuances of dried strawberries and cherries come together with rose petals, mint, citrus rind and crushed stones. Elegant and refined, this is structured around fine tannins, and demonstrates excellent tension and focus through the long finish. While this is showing plenty of character today, it should continue to develop beautifully and begin to really shine after some short term cellating.
