This beauty comes from the Campp Re Vineyard, which is located in the western side in the valley floor from 70 plus year old vines . It offers a complex bouquet, with layered aromas of black cherry, pomegranate, black raspberries, chocolate covered berries and forest floor, complemented by hits of charcoal, leather, mushroom, mint, and dried herbs. On the palate this is medium body with lots of intense flavors of red and dark berries, spice, and earthy notes. The finish is mouth watering, with a lovely touch of acidity and fine tannins. This is an absolutely stunning Nerello Mascalese that should continue to evolve beautifully over the next 15 plus years.
