The 2007 Castiglione is very elegant and made in a classic style which it typical for most of the wines that come from the estate. This does display that beautiful classic Nebbiolo color with notes of plum, floral and some earthy notes. However, the wine has pretty much shut down since first tasted this and needs time to develop. I would give this some good time in the cellar before attempting. However if you can’t wait, be sure to give it serious air time. (Drink 2016-2028) - January, 2012 (JD)
