This is another utterly compelling Barolo from Luigi Scavino, which comes from the Bricco Fiasco cru on the top of the hill in Castiglione Falletto. This was the the first Cru vinified separately and contains the oldest vines, 65 years in age. The result is a Barolo of incredible class and elegance with bright fruit, polished tannins and gorgeous acidity. Dark cherries, strawberries, minerals and spring florals all continue to remain persistent through the long, graceful finish. This gorgeous Barolo should evolve beautifully over the next decade and beyond. (Best 2019-2032) - May, 2017 (JD)
