Wow, the 2004 Conterno Fantino Barolo Sori Ginestra is an epic wine. It's fresh, layered and has lots of complexity, with blackberry, black cherry, tobacco, tar and smoke. This has an unbelievable structure and seems to pick up momentum on the long, long finish, folding in some rose petal and anise notes. This is truly a world-class wine! Drinking well now and should be eve better over the next 20+ years. (Drink 2013-2030) (JD)
