The 2008 Barolo from Azelia offers aromas of dried cherry, strawberry, licorice, mint and hints of cedar. The fruit is elegantly wrapped in fine tannins which carry over onto the chewy finish. Six different vineyards in the Castiglione Falletto and Serralunga d'Alba area produce the Nebbiolo for this Barolo which then spends two years in large casks prior to bottling.
