The 2007 Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino referred to as the "White Label" or "Etichetta bianca" offers bold notes of ripe blackberries, vanilla, exotic spices and even hints leather, molasses and lightly toasted oak. It displays plenty of depth, concentration and finesse. The full plush texture gets support from well-integrated acidity which provides a spark of energy and lift as it approaches the long supple, yet firm finish. This can be approached on the younger side thanks to the ripe concentrated fruit, but will be at its best in about 4-6 years from now. (Best 2013-2025) - December, 2012 (JD)
