The 2015 Castello di Banfi 'Poggio Alle Mura' is a sensational showing in this fabulous vintage. Precise with incredible purity, this gorgeous red shows striking notes of lavender, flowers, currants and raspberries, which all come together beautifully in the glass. On the palate this shows wonderful energy and balance, with a beautiful citrus impression reminiscent of citron and lemon juice. Full-bodied, soft and velvety with compact and solid finish that lingers effortlessly. While this is already outstanding in its youth, it should become even more impressive as it evolves over time.
