The 2015 Campigli Vallone Brunello di Montalcino opens to deep, profound aromas of black plums, hot asphalt and gunpowder. The palate is full-bodied, extracted and well-structured with soft tannins that frame the core of ripe fruit as it comes to an end with a compact finish that lingers on. While this is quite accessible in its youth, it should be even more impressive if allowed some additional time in bottle to develop.
