One of the finest wines of the vintage, the 2014 Giodo Brunello di Montalcino shows wonderful elegance and refinment. It begins to impress as it opens to pretty aromatics of ripe black plums, strawberry and fresh cut florals and cloves spices all taking shape. It possesses a full body with soft, round tannins and lovely fresh acidity that persists through the long finish. This is a brilliant wine from Carlo Ferrini which will be ready approach early, but also shows the potential to offer a graceful evolution over the next decade.
