Il Poggione has released an absolutely wonderful Brunello from this difficult 2014 vintage. The wine is clear and precise, with pretty aromas of black cherries, raspberries and blueberries that accompanied by nuances of roasted meat that add further complexity. The palate is full-bodied with ultra-fine and well-integrated tannins, which comes to an end with bright fruit and incense notes lingering on the persistent finish. An absolutely outstanding effort from this challenging growing season.
