CHARLES MIGNON Champagne 'Cuvée Comte de Marne’ Brut Grand Cru NV

2013 Top 100 - Rank # 86
The Maison Charles Mignon is located in Epernay, capital of the Champagne region and a town with a rich historical past. The 'Cuvée Comte de Marne’ Brut Grand Cru is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay made using the finest grapes and is considered the flagship of the Mignon range. It offers gorgeous aromas of green apple, lemon zest and white florals with hints of toast and mineral. This brings wonderful elegance, but with lots of energy from the fine mousse and underlying acidity which drives this wine into the crisp, mouth watering finish. Just an fantastic bottle that should have no issue lasting a decade. (Best 2014-2024) - November, 2013 - (JD)
