The Krug 165 ÉMÈ is a beautiful wine, composed of 47% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier from a range of vintages, with the youngest being 2009. As this slowly begins to unwind in the glass it releases gorgeous aromatics of orchard fruits, citrus, orange blossom, ginger, brioche and mineral characteristics which all take shape. The palate is beautifully textured with flavors of orchard fruits, citrus, hazelnut and brioche. It goes on to impress with its fabulous mouthfeel and remarkable overall balance through the mineral laced finish. This is drinking beautifully today, but should also be cabable of handling at least a decade longer in the cellar.
