This is an absolutely fantastic expression of old-vine Gamay from Metras, which is nothing short of brilliant in this vintage. It instantly begins to impress as it releases beautiful aromas of wild berries, pomegranate, fresh rose petals, dried spices, smoke and lovely mineral nuances which all come together in the glass. On the palate this vivid red displays a gorgeous elegant mouthfeel. It goes on to display remarkable balance and precision as it continues to thoroughly impresses through the graceful finish. This is absolutely beautiful today, but should also go on to age incredibly well over the course of the next decade and beyond.
