The 2016 Domaine Saint-Préfert Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc is a total beauty and once again one of the premier whites from the region. This blend of 85% Clairette and 15% Roussanne is extremely aromatic, with striking aromas of honeysuckle, pear, fresh white flowers, mango, crushed almond and ripe citrus all coming together beautifully. On the palate this possesses gorgeous richness, along with a waxy element, and loaded with delicious fruit flavors resonating throughout. It continues to impress as it displays fantastic overall balance and precision, finishing with a long, pretty finish leaves you wanting more. A sensational wine from Isabel Ferrando, which is already simply fabulous and should continue to evolve and gain complexity over the course of the next decade.
