The 2015 Château la Nerthe is an excellent showing which consists of all 13 allowed varietals in Châteaneuf-du-Pape, however Grenache is the predominant varietal. It begins with pretty aromas of dark plums, cassis, red currants, dark soil and baking spice. On the palate this is medium to full bodied with lots of ripe fruits backed by layers of complex flavors. This is a beautiful red that is approachable now and also has plenty of ageing potential.
