The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Domaine de Beaurenard is a fabulous blend of 30% Clairette, 25% Roussane, 25% Bourboulenc, 17% Grenache blanc and 3% Picpoul and Picardan. It instantly opens with inviting aromas of poached pear, apricot, lemon zest, white florals and dusty minerals all coming together beautifully in the glass. This continues to impress with it remarkable overall balance and gorgeous round mouthfeel, which gets just enough lift from the underlying acidity to propel it into the expansive finish. This is already absolutely delicious right now and should contine to impress as it evolves over the course of the next decade. (Best 2017-2026) - February, 2017 (JD)
