As this slowly begins to open in the glass it releases gorgeous fresh aromas and flavors of dark cherries and black plums, along with lavender, leather, smoke, spices and a touch of dark chocolate, which all come together and resonate through the wine. It continues to impress with its beautiful texture supported by round velvety tannins and superb balance. This shows excellent depth and concentration all the way the the long velvety finish. Overall, the 2013 ‘Boisrenard’ is a spectacular effort and should be considered among the top wines from this vintage. (Best 2018-2029) - October, 2015 (JD)
