The 2013 Château Maucoil delivers a nice mix of raspberry, cherries, lavender, garrigue with a touch of olive and cocoa, which all take shape in the glass. On the palate it is clean and bright, with a lovely fine silky texture and soft tannins resulting in gorgeous mouth feel. It continues to show a wonderful balance, with underlying acidity all the way through the fresh finish. Already quite accessible, however will be even better in a few years. (2017-2025) - September, 2015 (JD)
